d. September 09, 1888 Regensburg, Bavaria Germany

Spouse:

Anna Marie (Wagner) Schmid

Georg Schmid (b. March 10, 1829 Regensburg, Germany; m. September 06, 1854 Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Marie Greiner; d. February 12, 1903 Ashford, Wisconsin)

Biography:

The History of Dodge County, Wisconsin, Volume 2 claims that Johann Georg's son, Georg was a brewer and came from a family of brewers. This would mean it is likely that Johann Georg was a brewer in Bavaria, although there is no evidence specifically stating this.

According to the Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1500s-1900s, a person by the name of Johann Georg Schmid, who was born about 1799 in Bavaria immigrated to Brazil in 1826; this may or may not be the same Johann Georg Schmid. Considering the fact that the Johann Georg Schmid mentioned on this page got married the following year in Bavaria, the immigrating Johann Georg Schmid is mostly likely in reference to a different Johann Georg Schmid, although there is a possibility it is the same person.
