Biography:

John married Martha Fiske in 1682 and after having four or five children (one source claims Nehemiah was born in 1697, another says 1699), Martha died in 1697. Two of John's brothers married two of his first wife, Martha Fiske's sisters. Sarah Fiske married Josiah Dodge and Hannah Fiske married Andrew Dodge.

On April 11, 1698 John Dodge married Ruth Grover in Essex County and they had five children.

John probably lived close to his parents, Lieutenant John and Sarah Dodge in Wenham, Massachusetts. In 1686 John was accepted as a townsman of Wenham and was granted towns privileges. In 1691 he was chosen as Wenham town constable.

John Dodge's will was dated July 07, 1703 in the presence of his father, mother and his father-in-law, Thomas Fiske. His brother, Josiah and his widow, Ruth were executors. John Dodge left 453 pounds minus 13 pounds of debts. Amos later sold his interest in the estate to his stepmother and his oldest brother, who divided it.

John Dodge died on January 18, 1704 in Wenham six months after writing his will and it was proved on March 06, 1704.
